Obituary
Eric Anderson

1914-2005

Sunday April 10, 2005

Eric Anderson was an interested and generous supporter of our activities over a number of years.  Eric was a private person.  Few knew that during the war he served in the Royal Navy, being promoted to Lieutenant-Commander before finally returning home to Evesham.  Then, like his friend Mary Cox, he was keen on Evesham's history and assisted in any way that he could.  Each year he helped tidy and cut the grass at Battlewell for our annual service, lending his machinery, giving his time and quietly paying for some of the help required.  He was always kindly and generous and he will be greatly missed by his many friends - not least this Society.  Thank you Eric - May you rest in peace.
