Aerial view of the Lewes battlefield

This aerial view is an RAF Survey photograph taken in 1947.  It is the earliest aerial view of Evesham that we have been able to find and lacks much of the later industrial and residential "clutter" that has accreted round the battlefield since World War II.  This photograph comes from the Battlefield Trust website and is reproduced with the Trust's kind permission.
