Our Second Evesham Medieval Fayre,
June 5th/6th 2004

Sunday April 10, 2005

2004 saw the second Medieval Fayre in Evesham, organised by Bengeworth Traders, alongside the first hot air balloon show.

Town centre manager Lew Hammond said that he thought that as many as 10,000 people were drawn out by the hot weather, to an event packed with attractions.  "It was a tremendous success and a lovely weekend."  Attractions included mock combat, funfair, jesters, medieval food and music.

The Society set up and manned a stall at the Fayre, with an exhibition on the Battle of Evesham ("Once Upon a Time in 1265 ...") and a collection of enthusiastic (and sometimes costumed) volunteers.
